Around 25 adults and children enjoyed a guided visit to Kempston’s Green Man Community Garden on Sunday 11th June.
The event, which was attended by local MP Mohammad Yasin and Bedford Borough and Kempston Town Councillors, was organised jointly by the Garden volunteers and the Kempston Climate Change Group as part of Bedford Great Big Green Week.
Visitors heard about the restoration work being undertaken by the volunteers to return the garden to a safe and enjoyable green space for the community and learned of the exciting plans for the future.
There were also opportunities to explore some of the interesting historical finds unearthed during digging and to get stuck in with some planting.
